Getting paid on Partout

Real money, moving in real time — not an internal ledger you have to take our word for.

How it works

1

Buyer pays your invoice

They pay by card on the invoice you sent. There's no escrow and no waiting on delivery confirmation — the charge either succeeds or it doesn't.

2

It lands in your Partout balance

The moment the charge succeeds, the money moves straight into your own Stripe balance — Partout never holds it. That's the number you see on your Balance page.

3

Stripe pays it out to your bank

Automatically, on Stripe's own schedule — usually every couple of business days. Your first payout after connecting often takes a bit longer while Stripe verifies the account; after that it settles into a regular rhythm.

Common questions

Why isn't my money available the instant a buyer pays?

It usually is — "Available" on your Balance page reflects real-time Stripe balance. The exception is a brand-new account: Stripe holds a new connection's very first payouts a little longer while it verifies things, the same way any bank does with a new account.

What happens if a buyer disputes a charge?

Stripe reverses the transfer to recover the funds from your balance, the same as any card dispute. If you've already been paid out, a dispute can make a later payout smaller to cover it.

Is my bank account or SSN stored on Partout's servers?

No. Both are collected directly by Stripe — your SSN is tokenized in your browser, and your bank account is linked by logging into your bank, not typing numbers in. Partout only ever sees the resulting token, never the number.

Can I switch banks later?

Yes, any time, from the Payments page in your dashboard — link a different account and it becomes the new destination for payouts going forward.
